Taylor stayed up late that night on the internet. Between youtube videos and tumblr, she looked up how to contact the wards.
"Wards?" She thought, scrolling through their website. "They seem interesting..." Taylor kept Lisa's number on her desk. "Where can I contact them... Oh! There it is!" She typed up an email to the Wards, requesting to talk to one of them about their organization. Taylor wanted to do good, too!
After sending the email, Taylor lied on her bed and watched her pet ants crawl around in their container. It was very relaxing.

Debra was just getting settled down. Time to man the phones again. Not emergency day, though!
She recognized the voice on the other end of the line.
A short conversation later, a meeting was set up. Preliminary. Two wards would meet with "Bug" at a public place.
Shadow Stalker and Vista walked up to the burrito joint and looked around. It was empty of customers-Some tiny brunette chuckling at a text in the corner, and a freckled blond in the other. Normally, it would be packed, but it was abnormally cold today.
They waited for...Bug.
Shadow Stalker thought that was a stupid name.

Vista was unsure of this meeting. She supposed she should've been excited for the perspective power a new member could bring to the team, but she felt comfortable with the team as it was (aside from Shadow stalker), she was afraid a new member would disrupt the chemistry of the team. And it had to be a girl too, just what she needed, a potential new competitor for Gallant or even worse, a new friend for Shadow stalker to pick on her with.
Still, a part of her was hopeful. This new member could be a chance for her, someone who didn't come into the team with any predispositions. Maybe if she made a good impression she could be friends with the new girl without being looked down on like a child.
She was shaken from her thoughts by a figure entering through the main door of the burrito joint. Her costume looked a little dark to be a hero's, in fact it kinda reminded her of shadow stalkers, and her heart sank a littler. Please be friendly. She silently prayed as she nudged Shadow stalker who had been too enraptured in the burrito at hand to notice the girl enter.

Oh man this burrito tasted good. Just melting in my mouth. Then Vista started nudging me to get me to focus on the cape in front of me. Damn girl had no respect for burritos and their elegance. It just made it impossible to get along with her. If only she liked burritos like a normal person. I looked over to see a girl with black hair in some kind of insect suit walked in.
“Hi” I muttered, trying not to let any of the burrito fall out of my mouth, “ I’m Shadow Stalker. I hear you're interested in joining the wards. I already like you since you allowed me to come here during work. They keep yelling at me for it…”
I took another large bite of burrito.

Taylor also bought herself a burrito, and she easily found the other capes at the restaurant. She nodded to them, "Hey... I... I guess I'm "Bug"." She lifted up part of her mask just enough for her to be able to eat her burrito too, but kept her face hidden otherwise. "How are you two, today? She was hoping to make a good impression on the girls. One of them was definitely younger than her, but that didn't bother her at all. The other one was practically making love to her burrito, which was understandable since burritos were amazing.

“You like burritos too?” I questioned as a slight amount of excitement built up in me. Finally a chance to get someone with a decent interest on the team with me. The only other girl on the was Vista and all she ever wanted to talk about was Gallent. “So why are you interested in joining up with the wards? Also there any questions regarding us that you wanna know?”

Taylor nodded, biting into her burrito again. "Of course! They're delicious! Burritos are love." Her stomach was becoming very pleased with her. "Well... I really wanna do good, you know? I wanna make a difference to society, help people out... And I don't have any questions at the moment, but I might later." She was very nervous about meeting new faces, but they didn't seem so bad. They were, after all, part of the Wards.

Taylor was already half-way through her barbacoa burrito. "I have bug powers." She stated. Then she went into full-on geek mode: "Really, it's way more broad than just 'bugs.' It affects other creatures like worms -annelids-, and all types of arthropods, even crustaceans! And Mollusks..." She was totally geeking out! Taylor had definitely been studying up on the types of creatures that were under her control.
She was now two-thirds through her burrito. "What about you, two?"

Vista's mouth dropped open in disbelief of the sheer nerve of this bitch. "That's it, I think you've got this, I'm going back to headquarters," she spat. She marched out of the Burrito joint and crossed the subsequent three hundred feet in a step so the pair couldn't hear her swearing. And to make matters worse, now she was thinking about Gallant's dick, which, much to her annoyance was distracting her from her anger.

"I tried going for Arthromask... But nobody seemed to like it, and a friend started calling me Bug instead... So I've just stuck with that instead. Not trying to go for anything intimidating." She hardly even knew Lisa, but for the purposes of her story-telling it was easier just to call her a friend. Besides, she seemed really nice!
The other two capes suddenly had a verbal cat-fight. Taylor just stared blankly at the two girls, wondering what the hell just happened. Not that anybody could see her face underneath her mask. "Uh... What the hell just happened?" She downed the rest of her burrito.

Taylor rubbed the back of her head awkwardly, "Uh... Yeah, I have. It didn't end well... For him." She really didn't want to scare away potential friends with a story about how she sent a swarm of black widow spiders against a dragon-person's balls and incapacitated him. It really wouldn't make for a good first-impression, not that the younger one seemed to care too much about first impressions.

“Haha” I laughed “That legit sounds both terrifying and cool. You should tell me the full story sometime. I’m sorry to cut this short so soon but I have another appointment I gotta head too. We should talk again sometime I had fun” I said allowing the exposed lower half of my face to break into a smile. “ Here my personal number if you have any questions about the wards or want a personal tour or something. Oh and the directors number too.” I said as wrote down the two numbers on paper and handed them to her.
“Well I’ll see you around” I quickly pulled my mask down my face, waved and walked out the door.
